At the heart of Cleveland's post-industrial unemployment, endemic housing crisis and drug infested streets, coach Fred Wilson created Inner City Boxing, in hopes of transforming drug dealers and users into successful boxers. I try to relate boxing to life because life will knock you down. But you can't just lay down, especially where we live, you have got to get back up and you have go to keep going. Sometimes, you have got to get picked up, that's what I do. If they have any issue outside of boxing, we'll sit here all night and we'll talk about it, because I'm a mentor, I'm a father, they're my kids. They're not just my boxers,' coach Fred.
